Learning and development is changing; it’s no longer about just designing and running courses and programs. Many L&D staff do not have the skills for a radical rethink of how learning happens and is supported in the workplace. Learning design processes like ADDIE are geared towards course design and production, not sophisticated learning ecosystem design.
In the first half of this session, you will learn what design thinking is and how it can be applied to learning and development. The second half of the session will be a hands on interactive workshop, where you work in small groups to explore a solution to a
learning problem. You will be given a learner’s persona and business problems, together with a series of ideation techniques that you can use.
